Welcome to the Deaf Ministry of Hopewell Baptist Church. We love the hearing impaired and we want to minister to you. If you are part of the deaf or hearing impaired community, come join us and meet people with similar situations with which you can build relationships. Class Description This beginning class is for anyone who has never had any exposure to ASL (American Sign Language) or anyone seeking to refresh ASL skills. The students will learn the Manual Alphabet, numbers, sentence structures, facial expressions, everyday vocabulary signs, time signs and Deaf Culture. The students will learn to develop expressive skills through using the Manual Alphabet and signs and to develop receptive skills through reading the other person's signing.
