Welcome to the F.A.I.T.H. site |

| Welcome to a journey of faith; a journey that leads us to learn to celebrate and share our faith in Christ with others. | Excitement continues to build at Hopewell Baptist Church over what FAITH is doing and how it is helping us reach Canton, Ga and surrounding areas. | What is FAITH? | The FAITH strategy is a multifaceted approach to training and equipping Great Commission Christians in their journey of faith; sharing with and mentoring others in their individual journeys. It is a reaching out in all directions to all people. | "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 | The Purpose of FAITH | | |
| | FAITH is a Sunday School evangelism strategy to reach others - a lifetime process by which followers of Christ learn to share their faith with others. By incorporating FAITH, Hopewell Baptist Church created opportunities to strengthen ongoing Bible teaching and reaching ministries. FAITH accomplishes the following:
- It mobilizes an army of Sunday School leaders and members to share the gospel.
- It provides unsaved persons an opportunity to accept Christ.
- It facilitates nurturing visits to members.
- It begins initial follow-up on persons who've accepted Christ and/or are joining the Sunday School.
- It enables believers to grow through the ministries of the church.

| Philosophy of FAITH | | | FAITH calls for a high level of commitment from leaders and members, and it is based on a strong commitment to accountability. It also offers believers the opportunity to be directly involved in proclaiming the good news of salvation and seeing the Holy Spirit at work convicting and changing lives. | Components of FAITH | FAITH places believers in visitation groups with others from their Sunday School classes. These teams consist of three people each; a team leader and two team members (learners). These teams primarily visit people in their age group -- this is ideal because there will be areas of common interest that help build rapport. | Obviously, believers do not become Great Commission Christians overnight. The process takes time. FAITH teams meet once a week, for 15 weeks at a time. Each weekly session of FAITH (including visitation, training, and celebration) lasts approximately 2 hours. | The FAITH Outline | The most important aspect of FAITH is that when a person is visited they are not only welcomed and invited to return to church, they are asked the most important question of their life, one that shows the greatest concern we can have for another person: "What do you understand it takes for a person to go to heaven?" Based on their response, they will be given an opportunity to hear the gospel and accept it. | |
