Journey of Faith is Hopewell’s response to the blessings God is giving us.  Our current facility is being used near its total capability and our congregation continues to grow.  We have over 500 people in worship on any given Sunday and 115 plus in Children’s Ministry, and our buildings house activities most everyday and evening.  Because of our faith in God and our desire to witness to our growing community, we, through sincere church wide prayer, feel God has led us on a Journey of Faith.  This Journey is to build facilities which will allow us a larger area for worship, 35 plus additional classrooms, greatly increased nursery and preschool ministries, rehearsal space for our music ministries, additional parking and multiple areas of multipurpose space.  What we are able to accomplish today for Christ will reach another generation of believers as they too seek God’s will in their lives.  We ask that you begin by praying and ask God what can you and your family do for Him in this Journey.  Ask questions and get involved.  We have members of the Journey of Faith team available to help in the church lobby every Sunday.  Also please feel free to contact the church with your concerns. 

Our goal is to extend the ministries, witness, and outreach of Hopewell Baptist Church.  We need facilities to allow this to happen and we are praying for God’s guidance and direction looking for how He can use each of us. 

Our financial challenge is to raise 2.2 million dollars.  This Journey began in May of 2007 and we are committed to reaching this goal by May 2010.  We have had a tremendous response and our commitments are close to 2.1 million.  Thus far, our actual money received is on target and we intend to celebrate our victories as we go and step forward in faith. 

Faith will take us as far as we allow God to reach into our lives and as far as we commit ourselves to Him.  Begin praying now and reach out in faith with your church family.  We have printed information along with commitment cards available in the front lobby each Sunday.
