James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to
him.”
Our Challenge
Today, there are more options — things to have, things to do,
things to want — than at any time in the course of human
history. As a result, when the time comes to make choices,
especially important choices, which choice do we choose,
which option do we take? The best thing to do when
confronted with such a problem is to seek the wisest counsel
available. And, the best counsel is that of our LORD. For in the
long run, God’s opinion is the only opinion that matters.
Our Question
How strong are you? Can you face the onslaught of choices
and make the right choice, the one God would have you
make?
Our Prayer
Dear God, please share your wisdom as I prayerfully decide
how to support my church through Arise & Build. My prayer is
that I have the courage to make the tough choices in my life. I
want to help my church and when it comes time for me to
pledge, help me decide. Even with your help in that decision, I
know that I will also need help in fulfilling that commitment.
Finally, impart your wisdom on the decision makers of
Hopewell Baptist Church. Help us to be good stewards of the
resources you have so generously and unconditionally given
us. Amen
